Believe In Your Athletes!!!
As coaches, we ask our athletes to be confident, to play fearless, and to believe in themselves. But we have to remember our athletes are people too. People with fears, insecurities, and self-doubt.
At every level Youth, Middle School, JV, Varsity, Collegiate, and even the Pros there’s an inner voice that whispers, “You’re not good enough.” “You’re not capable.”
That’s where we come in.
We must believe in their abilities no matter who they are. No matter how athletic, skilled, or experienced they may be, they need to know you believe in them in order to perform at their best.
Our belief plants the seed of confidence. It reminds them they’re not alone. That someone sees their potential, even when they can’t yet see it themselves.
So coaches believe in your athletes. Be the first one who does. That belief might be the one thing they’ve been waiting for… to finally start believing in themselves.
